Where We Take Cases
The county in which your ticket was issued is critically important to how it may be handled.
In some counties, a defense lawyer can resolve your tickets by negotiating with the prosecutor. In other counties, the prosecutors have made all their decisions in advance and will not talk to lawyers or individuals. These counties use only a website, called traffic diversion program, to resolve traffic tickets.
We generally decline cases in counties with traffic diversion programs because there is little legal work to be done and people can get the same result themselves.
We invite calls for all traffic tickets issued in the follow counties: Albany, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Chemung, Cortland, Delaware, Dutchess, Erie, Genesee, Greene, Hamilton, Herkimer, Madison, Monroe, Montgomery, Oneida, Ontario, Onondaga, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Schuyler, Seneca, Warren, Wayne, and Yates Counties. Click on the county for a list of courts in that county.
We ask that instead of calling us, you first visit the District Attorney for information on their traffic diversion program for tickets issued in: Allegany, Cayuga, Clinton, Broome, Essex, Franklin, Jefferson, Oswego, Otsego, Steuben, Tioga, and Wyoming. Click on the county for the District Attorney website.
If you have reviewed the requirements for the traffic diversion and would like to hire us to assist you, please call. Thank you.
